What Members Thought
I did not enjoy the 'short stories' aspect of the novel which accounts for my lowly rating. This feature detracted from the cohesiveness of the novel and meant that I needed to resort too often to the character list at the beginning of the book. By the time I came to the novel's denouement I had almost forgotten the names and features of the young girls who disappear at the beginning of the story.
