Excellent story with beautiful, visual language. The audio is great and read by the author, Toni Morrison.
I read this in college about 15 years ago and I am glad I reread it. Literary in every sense, Toni Morrison crafted a masterpiece in poetic and brutal language. To read this is to reckon with white America as it was built on death and destruction. Incredibly powerful examination of the Self. This is not an easy read in terms of content or language, but it is one of the most important and meaningful novels I’ve ever read.
