Super hyped up werewolves, mystical vampires from another planet, portals, strong magical woman and killer mutated Gecko lizards. Yes ! What a fantastical world the authors have created. Sure you have the typical magical cast, wait, no you don't they are only typical in name. These fantastical beasties are sexy, deadly and pumped up beyond anything you've read before. Sexy, yes very sexy. The Andrews are very good at creating big bad rippled sex gods for us to drool over.

Shelves: favorites

I did my third 'read' of this in audio. Renee Raudman, who is the reader for all of the Andrews' book does a great job as usual of bringing the story to life. The Costco scene was especially great. My only hitch was that her performance of Sean didn't quite fit what I had in my head From my previous two passes through the story. Still the story is just add great as it was when I was haunting the authors' blog for every new installment.

What a charming book. As always I went into the book knowing very little, making it even more enjoyable to read the unfolding of so many interesting pieces of the story. It is supernatural yes - but its also sci-fi. Surprisingly that's not a very vommon combination, but it made my sci-fi loving heart happy.

Beyond that though, there is a charisma here, with the homey feel, the amusing repartee, and a feeling of intimacy betwen the characters. Despite them barely knowing one another, it feels natu ...more

Dina is an Innkeeper at an Inn that specializes in unique guests. She has to follow certain rules as part of her role as Innkeeper. She has to make tough choices when a killer stalks her neighborhood. Will she follow the rules or help save her community. I really enjoyed this book it started off slow to me but picked up quickly with lots of action. The world was very interesting I liked learning more as the book continued.
