Gin is my kind of women- she is beaten down, traveled down the ugliest dark roads and she still she shines. She never plays the blame game, life does not owe her anything. A true action hero in assassin clothing. She finds herself solving the murder of one she loves while trying to save another and possibly an enemy as well. Twists and turns and kicks on every page, never a dull moment. A great urban fantasy.

FIRST IMPRESSION...

Damn this chick is bad ass! She's all kinds of dangerous with sass, don't mess with Gin she'll stab you, literally.

THE NARRATOR...

Lauren Fortgang's narration is exceptional. She immediately pulls you into the story and makes each character, male and female, shine with her interpretation and knack for southern accents! I can honestly say I think I've been spoiled by the awesome team of Lauren Fortgang and Jennifer Es

I read/Listened to this one as part of a challenge (I had actually started this one a couple of years ago and never finished) and while I liked it..I mean what is not to like with an opening of "My name is Gin, and I kill people", it was a bit slow going and seemed a bit drawn out...yet there was also not a lot of world building (unless I missed it while listening...my mind did wander a bit on occasion) Giants, vamps that are out durring the day (that don't sparkle) elemetals and humans

Assasin Gin Biancho has elemental powers of stone and ice magic at her command, but prefers to carry out her assignments in a more mundane fashion (knives are her preference. But when a hit goes bad and Gin must team up with a cop - one who has every reason to hate her - in order to get revenge for the death of her mentor and to stop the villain, because Gin herself is now a target.

1st person Gin enters the increasingly crowded UF arena, and even though her occupation is not very sympathy inspir

This is the making of a great series.
I liked and related to the characters.
Gin is fierce, a fighter and a survivor...what's not to like?
Action packed, great story line and a sexy cop. NICE!
The action starts right out of the gate and it keeps on going all the way to the end.
A real page turner. Can't wait to start Web of Lies.
Highly Recommend!
