Wow! This has just become one of my all-time favorite books.
Jane is an amazing young woman, who rises above a difficult childhood, an abusive school, and the limitations placed on women in the 19th century. She is intelligent, passionate, and resourceful. She is brave, selfless, and even funny.
There are too many little moments in this book to mention all of them, but one of my favorites is when she teases Rochester, making him jealous by telling him all about St. John and all his perfections.
