3.4 stars. This was a difficult book to enjoy for me. The story is based on a young woman's difficulty dealing with her past and how it is effecting her present. Something horrible happened when she was just 14 and it left her shattered. It is worse than just the event. The people who should have been there, the support she should have had were all absent. Its a 3.5 star book for me. It had potential for so much more however it is like she stopped caring about her work for the second half. There are so many grammatical errors it becomes hard to read. This gets worse throughout the book and definitely needs some work.
The story itself starts off amazing. I love Cam. For the most part I really loved Avery as well although nearing the end of the book she falls into the stupid heroine category of I must keep everything to myself.

I’ve tried listening to this book three different times over the years and I just cannot finish it. It all seems so immature and the language sounds like a middle schooler. I absolutely love this author, but this book isn’t at all like her others. It’s possible that reading the book would be a little better than listening to it. I found the audio reader extremely annoying.
