I have read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series more than once and really have enjoyed reading them. I now have read something else by J.R. Ward and I was not very happy with it. Did finish the book however, I had to skip some of the drama in the beginning of the book. I read some of the beginning & was finding myself bored.

So I skipped to page 200 and began reading and it was actually keeping me into it a little more. Finished the book and it of course ends in a cliff hanger . . so I will rea ...more

It had potential , felt like an old school soap opera but there were moments of really off writing and characterizations that kept me from wholly enjoying this book. TBH, I enjoyed the setting and the whole sprawling southern soap opera feel more then I enjoyed the main couple.

Will be going forward someday since I do want to get to Edward .
