Okay this is my first Jacqueline Rhoades book, and I loved it :) This book I could not put down. I read it all in one day. I felt horrible today, but could not put my reader down. She had lots of action, funny misunderstanding that had you laughing, I raged with Lizzie and cried too. I love books that take you on an emotional roller coaster. 3 star story, 2 star narration.

I think this is a story better read than listened to as the narrator's annoying high pitched tones and god awful pronunciation of 'wolf' as 'wuulf' bugged the hell out of me.

The story, though not particularly original had enough in it to maintain interest and it was nice to see a strong female who stays strong. All round not a bad read, though I was more interested in the character of Charles than Marshall!
