In my opinion Persuasion is Jane Austen's finest work, the characters are sublime, Anne is poised and delicate in her suffering and yet steadfast and strong in her loyalty and good sense. Wentworth is everything you want in an 18th Century man. The story is bittersweet and much of Jane's own feelings, such as her dislike of Bath shine through the novel.

4/20: I just finished reading this book for the millionth time (give or take), and it's as good as the first time I ever read it. On this reading, I realized I think this may actually be my favorite book of all time, (edging "Jane Eyre" out of that spot where she has sat for something like 15 years! I think I should "Jane Eyre" again so that, having read them back to back, I can make a final call!) It is, without a doubt, my favorite Jane Austen novel, to be sure!
