I wanted to read this, a teen girl killed herself, Pheobe Prince, her death darkened my world a bit, and broke my heart. I have three teens, her death awakened a new fear. This book-Haunting, a look into the events that led a teen girl end her life. She tapes her 13 reasons, the snowball that just rolled along. She sent them to the 13 people that were involved. After finishing up this book last night, I couldn't get to sleep. I just laid in bed and thought about it. What we do everyday, what we say heck what we DON'T do or DON'T say everyday plays some roll in someone's life. You could be one of the names on someones list, you could be the one who could have said just the right thing to stop it. Or you could have been that person to set the snowball rolling. I look back on all of the things that I went through in high school and I can see how it has permanently shaped the person I am today. It is discouraging to hear that a girl committed suicide because she didn’t think there was any other alternative after trying to get

I think I cried through, at least, half of this book.. Maybe I'm just too emotional?
Anyway, I read it beginning to end in some afternoon and some night yesterday,(the 20th), but I was so tired I just went to bed and it was the best book I've read in a really long time.. ...more

So here's to you:
My reasons why.

This book terrified me. Not because it was scary in particular, but because it was so frighteningly real.
