Well I just finished up all three (and a half) of the Arcadia Bell books by Jenn Bennett (Kindling the Moon: An Arcadia Bell Novel, Summoning the Night: An Arcadia Bell Novel, Leashing the Tempest and Binding the Shadows (Arcadia Bell)) and I completely agree with other reviewers who said that the series got better with each book - and this one, wow.
In Binding the Shadows we get to see Cady begin to discover the pluses and minuses associated with her moon child powers and we find out something ...more

Things pick back up with Book 3 in the Arcadia Bell series. Arcadia investigates a mystery potion that is intensifying the skills of Earthbound demons, contributing to crime and general chaos. Her own abilities are expanding, which raise questions about what really happened to her parents when they crossed into the demon plane at the end of Book 1. Meanwhile, the extended family arrive to celebrate the holiday, which Jupe's deadbeat mom decides to crash. The characters and relationships are the

First and foremost . . . do NOT read this one unless you have the next one standing buy. Trust me in this. You can thank me later.
Herein, we meet Yvonne. And her family. While this takes up a lot of the story, it is basically a side note or a stepping stone . . . a place for Cady to grow. There is a mystery here. Arcadia is developing her new moon child abilities and they are getting really striking. Lon's inlaws are actually very interesting charecters whom i was glad to meet with at last. His exwife appeared to be not a monster but a very broken person with somewhat twisted way of thinking. All in all, though it was not as awesome as Kate Daniels, I think it was worth reading.
