Wow! When I finished this, I had to take a few moments after to go over what I just read. In case you haven't read my reviews for the previous books in this series, this series is a favorite of mine. I love the mythology, and not just one isolated version either, but myths from all around the globe combined together. But what I loved the most was, as Gwen searches and searches for an artifact, the story doesn't stall. It doesn't hold out until the next book for something to happen.

Okay now for an adult review: I loved the book and I loved the little hints we got towards the Reaper Girls identity (view spoiler)...Big thumbs up for giving Gwen true conflict amongst her friends I mean Logan and his secrets (view spoiler) Daphne and her changes. I definitely loved how we had all the action in the first chapter but what I loved most of all was that for the first 3/4ths of the book almost everything was done in misdirection. And that the last quarter of the book we see Gwen finally and fully except the responsibility & the burden of being Nike's Champion while fully knowing the consequences of that choice.

The teases....I can't wait for Crimson Frost in January because (view spoiler) ....WHAT!!!!! Jennifer Estep definitely knows how to make a person come back for more!!! ...more

Jag avgudar den här serien, verkligen avgudar den. Jag vet inte vad som är så speciellt med den men den har någon magi som gör att man bara dras sig in i historien. Boken vara bara för spännande och man kunde och ville inte lägga ifrån sig den. Den här boken var även inte lika förutsebar som de andra böckerna vilket gör att boken för ännu mer plus poäng!
