This fun little novella takes place straight after the fabulous ending of Spider's Revenge. Gin has finally succeeded in what she has been wanting to do for many years - kill the person responsible for tearing her family apart.

I enjoyed this action packed Gin Bianco Elemental Assasin short. Other reviewers have mentioned that Estep is the queen of recapping, but this works to the advantage of those like me who haven't managed to keep up with the series, so even not being up to date I had no problem picking up on the players and getting a sense of what lead up to the short (this was true of her recent short "Haints and Hobwebs" in the Mammoth Book of Ghost Romance too.)

This short story sets up the next chapter of Gin.

It appears that Owen isn't as perfect as he seems. There is some secrets which will be coming to light in the coming books.

Will this put a spanner in their growing relationship. A mystery female. I do hope the author is not going to create a love triangle I do hate those.

I am intrigued to learn more about Phillip Kincaid and his relationship to Owen and the mysterious past. ...more
