I didn’t want this to end ! I love Viv and Fred they are so interesting and work so well together. I am a character reader, I can take a poor story if the characters are fabulous. Give me great character and a fabulous story and I'm one happy Yodamom. I’ve read many of the reviews there are so many complaining about it being too long, in need of serious editing….. wah wah. Perhaps, from another POV it does. I can’t say they are wrong ! (but they are)

4.75 stars - A touching and uniquely different male protagonist, funny, engaging and well written. Marred only slightly by inconsistent attitude of the female protagonist, the sexual pushiness of the male protagonist in the early stages of their acquaintance and not enough of an epilogue.

Simply.... lovely.
It was a perfect book to read on the last day of the year. Nicholas and Freda pulled me in and took me with them on a journey of self-discovery, forgiveness and love.

Review in progress...I have slowly become a Cosway addict, but was a bit hesitant to pick this up because of the very unusual hero. Should anyone have similar qualms, Vivaca (Nicolas) may perform as a female impersonator but he is very male in his off hours - except for the times when he uses his "multifaceted sexuality" to throw people off kilter. Cosway was very wise to lead the story off with Nicholas' early years, especially the reveal of why he works so hard to push people away, he wouldn't
