What Members Thought

There were some interesting points about human society and political structures in this book. On that part - this book would have been a wonderful topic for a debate.
Some parts show the wear of time and the change in worldview in general but most of the ideas presented could be used as examples to teach history, politics and philosophy.
This is a book about how military society could work and it is not a topic I am particularly interested in but I am glad to have read it anyway.

The jury is out on whether this is pro or anti military. I guess the real question is after reading this book, would a young person want to sign up for the military? It definitely has some alluring qualities, to be sure.
