I loved Beatrix in Tempt me at Twilight and hoped that she ended up with someone who appreciated her.
The book opens with Christopher writing a letter to Prudence. Christopher is away from the comforts he knew, living the life of a soldier. He is surrounded by the horrors of war and needs someone.
Prudence dismisses his letter, calling it gloomy but Beatrix believes that someone must write to him. Beatrix replies to the letters, under Prudence's name.

Romantic, sweet, heart wrenching, adorable couple with cute animals. Need I say more ? Beatrix is my favorite Hathaway. She is a free willed untamed beautiful woman with a love of all things with four + legs, and she's very kind to the 2 legged as well. Her soul reaches out to those who need comfort, and yet she is unclaimed in love. I loved the beginning of this book but I think the rest was just ok. Once he found out Bea was writing the letters, the story started to flounder a bit. I would give this book 3 1/2 stars if I could, but I truly loved the series. I felt it deserved 4 stars because usually the last book in a series is bleh and while this was not the best, but certainly not bleh.
