I saved this as my last book in the series. Leo recovered after the first book and I was eager to see how he would convince Catherine to give them a chance.

Audio-3.4 stars. This is a difficult romance. A prickly spinster type and an ex rake. They have been fighting since they first laid eyes upon each other. They fight, and fight, meanwhile her past is coming back to haunt her and his future is in great danger of loss. The best character- Dodger the Ferret, he steals every scene.
I found it predictable, this story just didn't surprise me at all. I enjoyed it, the characters, all are very well written, I just thought the plot was a bit weak.

It was great to finally see Leo and Cat get their time in the Hathaway spotlight after watching them play cat and mouse throughout the last few books. We finally get to know the REAL Miss Marks and what a story it is!!! ♥
Throughly enjoyable. Made me rethink reading the rest from The Hathaway series.
