3.5 stars....have been debating on rounding the rating up or not....I liked it, Bastien was a bit harsher/meaner/darker then I like for my "hero's", but it worked for this book...Chloe....I was kinda "meh", the frustrating part is it was very predictable and easy to figure out. I didn't think I was going to like this book after the first few chapters. I especially was certain that I was not going to warm up to Bastian, he was a cold blooded killer without any mercy or feelings, he was ice. Chloe was put through the mill in this book, almost killed, slightly tortured, lied to, taken advantage of.. but the chemistry between her and Bastion was sizzling! Read this book 2-13-2021. New author for me in 2021.
First book I have read by this author.
I really enjoyed reading this book, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Fast read, Action packed suspense, m\f, mystery, love story thrown into the book. Kept involved from the get go.

Chloe takes her roommates place on a translation job for a weekend and finds herself in a fine mess.
Excellent book would recommend to others to read as well. .
