One thing you have to know about me, is that I loved Scooby Doo as a kid. The show is probably what hooked me on mysteries. So, when I see things with different takes on it (such as Scooby Doo Apocalypse comic) I just have to check it out.
This novel did not disappoint.
This is like Scooby Doo with Lovecraft elements thrown in. Now, Lovecraft I'm not a huge fan of, but I like the elements worked really well in this book. The meld was great. I thought it was really cool how this book is set 13 ye ...more

One of my pet peeves is when the book's blurb compares the book to other books that people really like and are popular. Once you see that comparison, it is stuck in your mind the whole time you are reading the book. That is what this book does. Although, I have never read John Dies at the End or Welcome to Night Vale, a lot of my fellow GoodReads friends have and most of them enjoyed these books. This had genuine thrills and heart.

Idk why I disliked this so much. I love the scooby vibes, but it's really hard to read/listen to. I didn't really enjoy the supernatural tie in.
