Loved, loved, loved Cinder ! Not only a fantastic twist on the Cinderella tale but a wonderful audio book. - Instead of losing her slipper she lost her......; 0 You have to read this if you love fairy tales.

I love the cover of this book, I am after all a sucker for red shoes. It is a very look at me, pick me up and read me cover. Well atleast that's what it says to me.

So I picked it up and read it, well first I had to request it to be sent from another library as mine had "lost" it's copy. Meaning someone enjoyed the book and didn't want to share it.

On to the book itself.

I don't know if others agree with me or if I'm in the minority as I have yet to pay much attention to the other rev

What total, absolute fun!

I think I'm not going to say that I don't go for a particular genre or sub-genre anymore because I keep finding out that I do. I give Cinder a 4.5. It was really a very good book, easy to read and a different take on a futuristic Cinderella story. I would have given it a 5 except that I have to admit it was easy to figure out the twists.
I was pleasantly surprised to read Cinder. I had no idea I would like this book as much as I did, as I am not a big Sci-Fi reader. I loved how the author added certain familiar parts to Cinderella and then very much made it it's own story.

I am not much of a YA reader - how many different ways can you combine highschool, the supernatural, and a mean girl who is in competition with the heroine for the hot guy? But Cinder is something really different. Inspired by the fairytale Cinderella, Cinder is a cyborg mechanic in a plague ridden future and in the role of the glass slipper is Cinders high tech foot prothesis.

I really enjoyed Cinder, I don't know how much of the story I'd have figured out without spoiler from my daughter who r
