Wonderful retelling of Norse Gods. Each short story builds to the next one making it easy to follow and absorb the details. My only complaint is that is is so short I wanted 3-4 x's more. I'm greedy like that.

I have tried to read the myths of Nordic Europe a couple of times; but I have never been able to finish. I haven't been very entertained by them, either. Neil Gaiman has succeeded in breathing life into these stories--no need to ask which mead he's been imbibing! 😉 I loved this book.

This was okay, but not great. My daughter learned all the Norse myths when she was in the fourth grade and her versions are much more interesting, and better told that Gaiman's.

At least it was an audiobook so I could speed it up to plow through it instead of DNFing it.
