What Members Thought

So I kind of expected something more you know with all the hype about this authors books, I was left rather disappointed. It could just be that Sharp Objects is the lesser of Gillian Flynn's books but I can not really make that call as I have yet to read anything else by her, I should also keep in mind that this was also her debut novel. I do know however that this book has been highly rated by many people on GR. So I am probably in the minority when I say it was kinda meh.

I read Gillian Flynn's books in reverse order so I went into this one looking for the twist and I figured part of it out pretty quickly - I really liked it and Camille and with another little twist to surprise me at the end it was definitely worth the read. I look forward to more from Flynn.

Gillian Flynn either has a lot of issues to work out using her writing or she is just twisted.
This book kept me involved until the end. Even though I thought I had it figured out early, I still gasped out loud at the reveal in the last chapter.
