A crazy ride through human insanity. A story somewhat like a much later issued 'Glass Castle' but unlike the latter this one is completely divorsed from any resemblance of reason.

A horrible, horrifying and darkly disturbing book. I picked it up at random decades ago and am still disliking it with passion.

I'll rant at it some more at some later time. ...more

This started somewhat slow, I almost called it quits. But then the Binewski family grabbed my heart. The whole travelling Fabulon just enveloped me and refused to let go. I have spent the last three days walking the midway, following these 'freaks' through highest highs and lowest lows. And I loved every moment. This book is just totally way out there bizarre. As I read each chapter I kept thinking, "Alright....It can't possibly get any weirder than this." Each new chapter would go on to surpass the last though. Any book that can keep me totally dumbfounded from start to finish is well worth a read in my opinion. ...more
