Rogue Protocol is the third installment in Martha Wells’ Murderbot Diaries series. I find I’m enjoying each installment more than the one before. Rogue Protocol really brought something into focus for me-I can only plead stupidity via Covid for not concentrating on this before. The constructs in these stories are slaves. Imagine being an intelligent being with a “governor” that will only allow you to interact at the level of Thomas the Tank Engine, for instance. Sure the various mechanical being ...more

Finished just under the wire before it had to be returned to the library. Good book, better than the last one.
Murderbot meets new humans and bots and learns more about what matters to it. I look forward to reading the next one and seeing what it can learn next.

I liked this series, I was a little confused about the order and accidentally skipped book 2 -which I will remedy soon. But I really like murderbot who just wants to watch his shows in.peace and keeps having to save the pesky humans.
