This was a stronger book than the first I thought. I love getting both Adam's and Vic's perspectives and with this story that becomes very important.
Adam is back in Guthrie trying to find out what is happening to his family. There's more that comes out about his past from this as well. So much of his family is just plain awful. But there's some growth from his mother and brother so that's a bonus. We get to see a grieving Adam. He's made some mistakes by not reaching out to those ...more

That took some twists and turns. Poor Adam, what a family! Some healing and some truth and some losses. Good tale! Cliffhanger ending.
