Mar. 21, 2007: 1 star.

I'm sorry, but I usually love classics, but I could just not get through this one. I've heard this called a great love story by many people but I don't agree that it is a love story. To me it's a story of obsession, bad choices and enormous grief. The grief parts were realistic but I didn't care about Heathcliff or Catherine. I also found the fact that the story was being told in retrospect by the housekeeper to be annoying. ...more

One of my favorite books. Gothic romance set in the British moors, relationships gone crazy
