wow! I LOVE Cormac McCarthy. I love his style of writing. The imagery is beautiful, the language rich and yet sparse. I love this story of a young man coming of age the hard way and realizing what is important to him may be different than what everyone else has in mind. John Grady Cole has the courage to follow his heart. Just a beautiful piece of writing.
