This was my first Henry Green and I was really impressed. The writing style is unusual as it often moves outside conventional grammar to convey movement of thoughts and of physical surroundings, then goes back to straightforward prose or dialogue. I found that interesting, and I also liked the beauty of the descriptions of London at night.
