What Members Thought
Eric Gregory is new to Black Library but going off this story, he might well have a solid career ahead of him. This short story does more to open up the lore of Ghur than any I have read thus far. The concept of the Beastgrave, the duties of the Wardens, the fate of the Wanderers, etc. were all compellingly written with a tight focus on characterization and an escalation of mystery and threat that I found gripping. The overall tone was haunting, elegiac, and has stuck with me. A promising start.
