I really enjoyed this. I'm a sucker for Greek mythology and re-tellings, but I'm surprised at how drawn to the 'starcrossed' romance I was, which is not something I usually find done well, but I liked it.
Definitely recommend it. Can't wait for the next book. ...more

I'm about 7 chapters in, and so far ... the story is silly, the writing is a little bit plodding, but it's got that [supernatural]boy-meets-[supernatural]girl-and-they-can't-resist-each-other hook that *I* can NOT resist!!

I really enjoyed this book. Mythology based YA fiction is hot right now and some of what it is out there is simply dreadful. However, I found this book to be fairly well researched and well written with good characterization. It of course has the request romance in the story but I felt that it was well handled and not heavy handed like so often is the case. I think I also enjoyed this book because it took place close to home and even mentions the Nantucket Atheneum Library several times.
