I really wasn't sure what to expect from this. I read this as part of a philosophy class on happiness in college and the professor (unwisely) had the class watch one of the movies based on it -- the one with Lenard Nimoy. That skewed my perception of the book a bit. But I enjoyed it and think I would have enjoyed it more without actors popping into my head to try and mold themselves into the characters I was reading about.

I had to read this in high school, and then again in college, and I absolutely adore it. It's so compelling and raises a lot of questions about freedom of choice and happiness. I think everyone should have to read this book.

Didn't do it for me really. I wanted... more and, after all I'd heard about it, I /expected/ more from this book, perhaps because I'm used to newer science fiction.
