I was surprised to actually find a book I was looking for at a rummage sale. Although it is an interesting book, I thought it would be more about homeschooling (since a homeschooling blog is, I think, where I received the recommendation, on a list of "books about homeschooling"). I finished this, but I can't decide if I liked it enough to use for a "recommended reads" list for class...I suspect not. I'll throw it on if I get desperate.

I guess I expected it to be funnier - and there were definitely moments that had me chuckling - but overall it was more quirky than funny. Maybe I've just read too many other books about eccentric families, and this couldn't hold a candle to Hilary McKay's Casson family books.
