What Members Thought

Today I found out that this was but the FIRST in a SERIES!
I loved this book growing up. So much so that I plagiarized many parts of the story often.
How do I know this? Well, I found an old notebook full of old stories, and one story was practically blow by blow the same beginning as this book. The bell ringing, the fleeing the hunter.
Sometimes instead of a unicorn, I used a pegasus. Oh creative me.
I need to find and read the rest of these series.

Nice fantasy adventure for kids, more serious than most of Coville's work, and with a good young heroine. I would only give it three stars because I'm not that into unicorns anymore, but when I was ten I would have thought that it was outstanding. Therefore, I'm splitting the difference.

Why did this series die? Little fourth grade Bailey was very sad.
