It’s actually a 2.5. It’s ok... I liked it. I feel tepid about this book. I mean as usual, the backstories were preposterous. But Samantha Young usually makes up for this overly made up drama by urging me to cry. This time though, I was left unmoved. Although I am fond of the h/h (Young somehow still weaves her magic effectively upon me), I felt a happy level of so-so throughout the book. I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because I know I would still go back and review some lovely scenes.

I could not put this book down. I started it almost as soon as Amazon delivered my pre-ordered copy and read straight through till 3am.
Writing wasn't *quite* as tight as I've come to expect and there were some weird plot things, but all-in-all definitely a good book! It's been a long time since I've read all night! ...more
