An enjoyable grrrl-power fantasy. Hits you pretty often with the PEOPL BE CONTROLLING TEH WOMENZ stick, but this is largely a set-up book for the rest of the series, it seems. It's also kind of surprising in that it seems like a fairly YA book until all of a sudden people are having graphic sex everywhere and saying "fuck" every other sentence, and then it goes back to being YA for a while, and then more literal and spoken fucking.
