This book was stunningly good, and I cannot understand why it isn't more widely talked about. I assumed it was new, and was shocked to find it to be from 2012! My theory is that the child abuse (and it's pretty horrible, although it doesn't happen "on the page"), is what's keeping this from being as "big" as something like The Help.
