I really like Courtney Milan. While romance has never been my preferred genre (there are gems like Milan, but there are also a lot of REALLY BAD books out there, usually written before 2000), sometimes you just want to read the equivalent of a historical romantic comedy. I'm tired, the political climate is exhausting, and I want a goddamn escape. Luckily, Milan gives great escape. (Especially the opera scene in this one. Damn.)
