Oh, I loved this! I've been a Carol Goodman fan for years and I don't think she's written a bad book. This one feels like a mashup of Grimm and Harry Potter, but set in the early 20th century. The exposition took a little longer than I would have liked, but Ms Goodman had to lay the groundwork for the universe she was creating.
It's perfect for fans of fantasy, YA, and good books in general. I'm looking forward to the next book in the trilogy. ...more
