So I have finally read one of Kingsolver's novels, and I must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm sure the excellent job done by the reader in this audio cassette helped, but I fell in love with the characters by the end of the first disc. Kingsolver has a unique way of making you wonder, right along with her characters, how this story is going to all turn out, and it makes for an incredible story with very good characterizations. Highly recommended.

This was the first Kingsolver book I read and probably my favorite. In many ways, I find Kingsolver's fiction very similar, all about family and relationships. She's another author who maybe really only had one or two novels in her, but just kept on writing anyway.

This was summer reading for my freshman seminar in college. I didn't find it particularly interesting and at this point I don't remember much about it (definetly a forgettable book).

I sooo didn't want to read this book, my best friend kept raving about it, and so I decided to do it just to shut her up.
