This was my first Beth Hoffman book. It was chosen as the October book for my bookclub. I love books about women and families and antiques and the South so this was pretty much right up my alley anyway. Then a friend from bookclub told me that she was on chapter 2 and completely hooked. She said it was one of those books that reached out, grabbed you by the front of your shirt and hauled you in! And she was most certainly right.

Very good story, some problems with chronology - jumping back and forth confusingly, but excellent second book.
This is a "quiet" book. Liked it, but I did not care for the ending.
