I hope this book resonates far better among its intended audience, for I found it to be a misguided, over-long mess. Kaitlyn/Carly suffers from dual personality disorder. In a series of documents, the mystery of what happened at Elmbridge High is examined, especially now that the diaries of Carly/Kaitlyn Johnson have been released to the public - because Carly/Kaitlyn's body was never found. Now we discover that Carly and Kaitlyn shared a body - Carly during the day, and Kaitlyn at night, and while the doctors and Kaitlyn herself believed she was going insane, there were darker forces at play.

Like, I was into it, and then I wasn't, but I obviously was enough to keep reading until the end? So I just don't know. For a book that was a bit overlong, I think it was too evenly split between mental illness and supernatural, which meant that neither was convincing (maybe that was the point? but in that case, I don't like the connecting of one with the other).
