Definitely a page turner, but it felt manipulative in an un-fun way. Unnecessarily dark passages of child abuse, etc. Woof. Author seemed to want to damn everyone and also absolve them. Parts of it were fun, creepy, and enjoyable but on the whole would not recommend.
