An interesting take on the Cinderella story, set in ancient China, and revolving around foot binding. I enjoyed it, but it didn't quite work for me. I wanted more background on the culture, and the ending seemed forced. Still, I'm glad I read it.

Footbinding and a stepmother favoring her natural daughter are just 2 elements in this Chinese Cinderella story. I can't even imagine having my feet bound!
