This book was really really good. However I stopped recommending it to people because it is kinda gross what the
bad guy does to his victims ...and a few of my friends did not lke the fact that I recommended it to them. If you are not too squeamish you should like it too.

Gruesome but interesting. I think it would have worked better in book than audio format as I kept wanting to flip back a few pages. I was interested in Jack and will read more about him, but do not think a book in this series was the right gift for my father.
I'm not really sure how to rate this one... On one hand i stayed up til 3am one night because i couldn't put it down, but on the other, it seems wrong to say i "enjoyed" a book with so much graphic sadism. It was definitely compelling and well written though.

Could have been better- this was one of those 'throw everything in plus the kitchen sink' books. Some passages were extremely well written. But a lot was stilted, and some could have been cut out. For instance, the girlfriend and the neighbor-neither of them really needed to be in there as I don't think they added anything to the main character's story. I think this was her first novel; perhaps she has improved as a writer and perhaps I'll try reading her again.
