Noggin is a very quirky, amusing, and touching novel about Travis Coates, a boy who survives an experimental life-saving head transplant operation, and then has to deal with the awkward return to his family and friends after 5 years in cryogenic limbo. My good friend Laurel suggested this book, and I really liked it. Its unusual premise (a guy who is dying of cancer has his head cut off from his boday and frozen, then reattached to a different body 5 years later) is developed so realistically that the plot just sucks you in. I also loved the voice of the 1st person narrator.

Ugh. This book started with such potential! I don't know if it was me, because I read this in chunks separated by a few days, but a serious "meh" for me.
