I'm finding it very difficult to write reviews lately. This one is no different, but I'm going to make myself do it now before I forget (I have books I've finished still marked "currently reading" because I'm unmotivated to write reviews).

I liked this one. It had funny moments and poignant moments. It had crazy mom antics and a surprising relationship between sisters.

But I didn't find it memorable. In fact I finished it last night and tonight when I picked up my iPad to go back to it I didn't e

It's not often that I can finish a book in the course of a few hours, but Semple's fun, yet sometimes unsettling, Today Will Be Different was one of those instances.

I really, really tried to get into this one. I loved her other books. I couldn't follow the stream of consciousness writing and there were so many cultural references that I didn't know. I may go back one day... ...more

I like the author and the way she writes. I like the way she describes mental health in first person.

But this book was a little heavy and I wanted more resolution.

Seems like the ending may have been rushed.

This was trying to balance "wacky" and "sad" but man, did it overshoot with the sad.

Also she's pretty unforgivable during the whole choir scene.
