I have to say, this is one of the only books where I liked the movie version better.
Johnny Smith is not as generic as his name would lead you to believe. In fact, he is a pretty likeable, remarkable kind of guy. A mask and carnival roulette wheel start out this tale but it turns into so much more. Psychic feelings leading to questions of religion and future. I enjoyed this book a lot. There were two main story lines towards the end with the criminal aspect and the political aspect. I could have had this book ended at the end of the criminal aspect and would have given it 5 star

A man wakes up after almost 5 years of coma only to discover he's able to 'know' things about people, just by touching them. Very hard to put down once I got into it.
