3.5 stars. I enjoy a thriller now and again, and I liked that this one had a female protagonist. However, knowing that the author was an actual former CIA analyst, I really hoped for more "CIA stuff" but I got too much interpersonal/family dynamic stuff. While I appreciate the psychological element of what the main character was dealing with in the context of her family relationships, when she finally started taking charge of the situation it almost wasn't believable by that point, because she h ...more

This was hard to put down. It lost a point because the characters were not as well-developed as they might have been, but it was very readable.
