Sometimes, children know who they are in ways that make adults uncomfortable; at other times, parents have needs or expectations that children find it difficult to meet. Ware is one of those children: he's not an extrovert, preferring to stay just outside groups (much to his teachers consternation). Ware is one of those kids with enthusiasms and his love to castles and knights leads him to an adventure his parents wouldn't approve of, much less understand. A beautiful book for anyone who’s ever guiltily enjoyed solitude and pined for a more chivalrous world.

Just a sweet read. Just like a good children's book should, it touches on hard topics with an artful hand. And there's just a lot of ingenuity, hope, and real conversations. And love. Lots of love.
