What Members Thought

The Teller of Small Fortunes is a standalone cozy fantasy novel about doing as much good as one possibly can and creating found family. It's a perfectly decent book with a great premise that's a bit too light and thinly characterized to be memorable to me, but it might appeal more to those who don't mind that and want an optimistic story with main characters who are basically good people doing their best (and a focus on platonic relationships instead of romance).

fun, cozy adventure fantasy. likeable characters, maybe not deep anything, but all in all if you are looking for something light, along the fantasy/adventure line with likeable characters, then this is it.

I have seen this book described as a "cozy fantasy" and that is right on the nose. The book follows a growing group of people traveling around the country on a quest to find a lost child. This sounds like heavy stuff but it never really gets too heavy. If you are looking for a deep exploration of character and a fast moving plot, look elsewhere.
